The Whitworth is a partner in the Whitworth Park Archaeology Project.
The project isn’t just about digging! Lots of research is happening into the history of the park and we are keen to hear from people who have memories of the park in the past.

We are delighted to hear that Whitworth Park will be assessed for a Green Flag Award this year. There has been a huge amount of activity in the park over the past couple of years thanks to the very committed work of Friends of Whitworth Park. Their work producing a development plan along with Manchester City Council is the first step towards being considered for Green Flag. We’ll keep you updated.
